Mahamat a mise en place une huilerie moderne pour valoriser les produits locaux et promouvoir leur consommation. A ce jour, il a produit plus de 15 000 litres d’huile d’arachide, avec un process de transformation et de conditionnement moderne. Les 3⁄4 de sa production sont vendus à un prix accessible à la population locale. La structure qui fournit des sous-produits dérivés de son activité, assure un revenu aux exploitants et est par ailleurs pourvoyeur d’emplois. Mahamat vise l’expansion de sa structure pour un plus grand impact.
Mahamat established a modern oil mill to promote job creation through the manufacturing and consumption of local products in his community. To date, he has produced and packaged more than 15,000 liters of peanut oil, 75% of which is sold at an affordable price to the local population. This business structure creates jobs in the community as well as income to local farmers. Mahamat is in the process of expanding his activities to achieve greater impact.
